HUDDLE does LA!

We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to play in LA, CA as part of Filter Magazine‘s Culture Collide Festival. We will be playing at least two shows, one each on Friday and Sunday. The music portion of the festival runs Friday to Sunday on seven stages within several venues in Echo Park (LA).

Horseshoe show and Sirens video release party!

We`re playing the Horseshoe next Thursday, the 17th of May with good pals the Rival Boys who we met and played with in Guelph, long-time friends and influence Tusks! and Low Animal, whom we;ve never met but judging by their bandcamp page they`re going to be a good party!

And we’re super excited to launch our new video for Sirens, by our good friend (and Islands video animator) Drue Langlois!

We’re very excited to support Julie Doiron for a couple of shows in March, plus a great CMW showcase at the Silver Dollar. But at their best, they deftly weave shimmering guitar lines with some honest-to-goodness organic synth tones, wrapped in songs that stay in your head long after you’ve heard them. They were easily the best act of the night.

Huddle’s elusive fires. Album Review

The album clashes and tightens. There’s rhythm and clarity, complexity and calmness, and eerie and majestic chords playing while the vocals shine like a full moon cast on a still lake. You can’t mistake the labour that was involved with the production of this album – you can tell this was no trivial creation and one wonders what Huddle brings to the table at a live performance.

Our practices are a lot of fun, and they’re only getting easier and more fun with each passing week. It’s a very opinionated group (not just musically) but luckily we’re laughing far more than we’re disagreeing, so it works out. I think a sign of this would be that we’re all really looking forward to touring together
